Having written nonfiction articles and books __ about law, science, religion, politics and even epistemology __ Edward Mendler has now put all of that into this book. Is it fiction or nonfiction? Either way, you will possibly learn something ___ and will surely enjoy and benefit from this story of the life of Anthony Bennett Champion, known as Tobe, a Great American of the 21st century. You don't know about Tobe Champion? Well, you surely wont want to miss knowing all about his life and adventures __ sailing in the Atlantic and the Caribbean, traveling in the US from Massachusetts to Washington, D.C., to California, touring and doing business in several foreign lands, and engaging in the droll and bewildering politics of America __ and finally, learning about his various amorous escapades. In the process of becoming a Great Man, Tobe Champion had to have come from a great family __ including his great grandfather, known as Nappa, his Champion parents and his relatives, the Stanfelds of New Mexico, whose adopted daughter, Honor, partly of Navajo descent, plays a very important role throughout Tobe's life. He also had to have had wide and diverse contacts with others of his contemporaries __ dozens of friends, associates and supporters who recognized his greatness, all of them being fascinating characters. This is a story of some length and complexity. It is actually three Books in one! Each of Book One, Book Two and Book Three has its own introduction and table of contents, and the volume is introduced with a family tree and lists of persons involved other than family members. So if you find it a bit hefty and possibly pricey, remember that you are getting Three Books __ and that the subject is A Great Man!

Are there false, fruitless and even deceptive predators in the pulpits of the modern church? If so, are these deceivers leading multitudes to the worship of false gods through their damnable heresies? Are "seeker-friendly" churches creating a new class of "Christians" who have no concept of authentic, Biblical Christianity? Are there leaders who are building their own kingdoms in lieu of God's and doing so on your dime? Are we hearing the full counsel of the LORD from those in leadership, or the psychology and programs of mere men? Are beguiling emissaries in our midst drawing believers away from pure devotion and intimacy with Jesus Christ? Do these things exist within your local fellowship? Are you truly being instructed in the right ways of the LORD? Explore the answers to these and many more questions in this bold, insightful, and resourceful look at the church world today. WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM READING THIS BOOK: What specific erroneous teachings are circulating in the church world and how to identify and expose them How to discern the genuine leaders who truly follow the Word and Spirit of God, from the false and fruitless who are using God's money to build their own kingdoms How to please the LORD by positioning and establishing His written revelation as final authority in your personal life How to discern and cease wasting your brief existence on this earth supporting wolves in sheep's clothing How to serve God with a loving and concerned heart from the foundation of divine immutable truth "Todd has addressed the number one issue of today's Christian culture. A subtle enemy has been invading our Christian churches and lulling Christians to sleep. This book is a dynamic toolfor the discerning Christian who wants to be an effective servant of the LORD." If we are to understand the concept of toleration in terms of everyday life, we must address a key philosophical and political tension: the call for restraint when encountering apparently wrong beliefs and actions versus the good reasons for interfering with the lives of the subjects of these beliefs and actions. This collection contains original contributions to the ongoing debate on the nature of toleration, including its definition, historical development, justification, and limits. In exploring the issues surrounding toleration, the essays address a variety of provocative questions. Is toleration a moral virtue of individuals or rather a pragmatic political compromise? Is it an intrinsically good principle or only a "second best-solution" to the dangers of fanaticism to be superseded one day by the full acceptance of others? Does the value of toleration lie in respect to individuals and their autonomy, or rather in the recognition of the right of minority groups to maintain their communal identity? Throughout, the contributors point to the inherent indeterminacy of the concept and to the difficulty in locating it between intolerant absolutism and skeptical pluralism. Religion, sex, speech, and education are major areas requiring toleration in liberal societies. By applying theoretical analysis, these essays show the differences in the argument for toleration and its scope in each of these realms. The contributors include Joshua Cohen, George Fletcher, Gordon Graham, Alon Harel, Moshe Halbertal, Barbara Herman, John Horton, Will Kymlicka, Avishai Margalit, David Richards, Thomas Scanlon, and Bernard Williams.
